Literally, Pasopati comes from two syllables, namely ‘Paso’ which means right, while ‘Pati’ means death. So, if the pasopati arrow hits an enemy or opponent in the form of a giant, knight or brother, the opponent must have met his end.

It is said that the arrow was once used by Arjuna to kill a giant king named Niwatacaraka, who wanted to marry Dewi Supraba. In addition, Pasopati’s arrows were used to kill Jayadarta and Adipati Karna.
